Diamond Autogas was established in July 2002, to offer a unique quality of service to those requiring Autogas conversions. The remit of the company has been to specialise exclusively in Autogas conversions (we are not a car repair business that also does conversions) as we feel that this is the only way to offer the exceptionally high standard that the company was set up to provide.
We have established a quality system that has been derived from 20 years experience of working in commercial airliner production, maintenance and training. This system uses aviation procedures to guarantee a 100% fault free installation of all safety critical components at the outset. This has been made possible by the adaptation of aviation quality control thinking and includes among other things, mandatory dual inspections.
All personnel involved in conversions have been trained under a Diamond Autogas training programme which has been developed directly from the training requirements of commercial airline maintenance engineers.
This ensures that the gas system installed in your vehicle is fitted in a highly professional manner by engineers who genuinely want to work to the highest possible standard. It also ensures that requirements of the LP Gas Association COP 11 are met and that there is no possibility of a gas leak or poor electrical connections.
To the best of our knowledge no other Autogas converters or even any other automotive company operate such a system. The use of this system has very little impact upon the time taken to complete the conversion nor does it increase the cost because it ensures that there is virtually no remedial work or fault finding once the installation is complete. It also ensures that there is very little likelihood of a customer returning with faults in the system.
